Mold Scanner (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Mold Scanner mobile application, related services, and website.

1. Information We May Process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Photos you choose to capture or select for mold analysis
• Analysis results and related app data
• Device and app information such as operating system, app version, language, and technical identifiers
• Crash reports, diagnostics, performance data, and error logs
• Subscription and purchase status supplied through Apple and subscription infrastructure
• Information you voluntarily provide when contacting support

2. Photos and Mold Analysis

When you choose to analyze an image, Mold Scanner processes the photo to detect and assess visible mold or mold-like patterns. Photos may contain surrounding objects or parts of a room depending on what you capture.

Photos submitted for analysis may be transmitted to a cloud-based image-analysis provider to perform the requested analysis. We do not use submitted photos for identity recognition or biometric authentication.

3. Storage and Retention

Analysis history and associated images may be stored locally on your device so you can review previous checks. Images transmitted for cloud analysis are handled by the applicable service provider as necessary to return the analysis result and subject to that provider's technical and retention practices.

You can remove locally stored history by deleting the relevant analysis in the app or removing the app from your device.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide mold image analysis and display results
• Maintain analysis history and app functionality
• Process and verify subscription access
• Measure performance, diagnose errors, and improve reliability
• Prevent abuse and protect the service
• Respond to support and privacy requests

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party providers for cloud image analysis, analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, attribution, hosting, and related app infrastructure. These providers may process information only as needed for their respective services and according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. Technical or analytics services may receive device, usage, diagnostic, attribution, or transaction-related information depending on the app configuration.

6. Sharing and Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your submitted mold photos. We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the app, when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

You decide whether to grant camera or photo-library access and whether to submit an image for analysis. You may manage app permissions in iOS Settings and manage subscriptions through your Apple account.

9. Children

Mold Scanner is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. International Processing

Information processed by service providers may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest revision.
